For over 20 years, we've been National Rifle Association (NRA) Certified Shooting Instructors for pistol, rifle,
shotgun, and law enforcement. In order to purchase, transport, or conceal/carry a handgun in the state of Connecticut, you'll
first need to obtain a pistol permit. One of the requirements for the pistol permit is obtaining a letter or certificate from
a certified NRA Instructor. This is accomplished by attending a class which we offer.
In the first part
of the class, you will learn how to properly fill out all the necessary paperwork which you must obtain from your local police
department or resident state trooper, for the "temporary permit" and also how to proceed to the "state permit."
The second part teaches the fundamentals of gun safety and target shooting; stance, proper grip, trigger control,
sight picture, etc. You will also learn the proper method of loading and unloading a weapon, checking it for safety and the
difference between single and double action pistols and revolvers. Classes held on Saturday mornings and last for approximately
5 hours.

law, many organizations such as police and security companies must be re-certified each year. Our location, located on the
Connecticut shoreline, is central to many of these groups and organizations. We have the classroom space and shooting area
(11- 75 foot shooting stalls) to satisfy your needs. We can customize the range for straight target shooting and qualifying
and situation shooting for police and military personnel.
