Pistol Classes and Gun Store in Guilford

For the average gun owner, reliable shooting ranges, gun stores and pistol classes are hard to come by. The chain stores are too expensive, overcharging each customer at every step of the way, while most pistol classes are more for show than they are for information and safety. Chris’s Indoor Shooting Range solves this problem by offering dependable services throughout Connecticut.

Our pistol class in Guilford is truly one-of-a-kind in the area. The trained staff welcomes gun users of all shapes and sizes into their classrooms, teaching them the basics of owning a pistol. Class objectives include the fundamentals of safe gun handling, how guns work and their differences, loading, unloading, checking for safety, and much more.

A State Issued Pistol Permit or Certificate of Eligibility is required to purchase a handgun in Connecticut since Oct. 1, 1995. That means, in order to obtain a weapon in Connecticut, a pistol class like ours is legally required. Please pick up an "Application for Pistol Permit" from your Police Dept. or Resident Trooper in the town in which you live.

"Chris’s Indoor Shooting Range also offers a regular schedule of pistol permit classes. These classes are broken into two segments. The first being on how to properly fill out your permit application. Again, here’s where experience is the key. You do not want to make any mistakes on this, or anything related to your pistol or it’s permit. A mistake means the State kicks it back to you, and you start over again. Why take the chance?  The second part is all about safety, proper handling procedures, shooting stances. Exactly what you need whether it is your first time with a firearm, or an experienced shooter going for your permit."
